My hubby and I went to Thulamela for our 5th anniversary, and what a treat we received. The accomodation is superb, with our own jacuzzi on the dek, total privace and breakfast served every morning on our dek. The service we received was excellant, no complaints at all. The 'room' is very well furnished with just enough of everything and thank goodness, no tv or radio to bother us on this romantic getaway. Once again, thank you Penny and staff for making our stay so special. You definatly deserve 4 stars. See you next year!

I would just like to say thank you for the most memorable weekend, you guys made it the most unforgettable experience ever had by my self and my girlfriend, the chalet was amazing and the location very spectacular, everything was great, I must compliment you and your staff on everything from the cleanness of the chalet to the exquisite breakfasts in the morning that was brought to us which was the cherry on the cake.

I will definitly recomend your place to any one that wants to visit the Hazyview area, that they must stay at your establishment,thank you once again for the roses and bottle of sparkling wine that you provided it was well enjoyed.

Your place is very romantic and an extemely peaceful get away from the hussle and bussle of Joburg life and a wonderful place for a young couple to unwind and relax.

My husband & I stayed at Thulamela for 3 nights. We absolutely loved it. When we travel, we enjoy the following: accommodation that is clean and of a high standard; privacy; a beautiful setting; good food; great service. We found all of this at Thulamela. The spa bath is fantastic and we used it a lot, as we had a few rainy days. We ordered a braai-pack for the one evening and the food was fantastic.
The room was very clean and the linen was crisp and fresh. The towels were big and soft and smelled great.
The thing we enjoyed the most was the fact that each room was completely private and quiet. You can enjoy the delicious breakfast in bed at a time convenient to you (they drop it off at your room).
Although the rate per room can be considered to be a bit pricey, it was exactly half the price of the place we usually stay at in Hazyview, but certainly not half as nice. I would stay here again any day.
We returned to the city relaxed and stress free. :)
